Senior Purchasing Specialist

We are searching for one of our clients, from the manufacturing sector of flexible packaging, a Senior Purchasing Specialist.

Collaborates with:

Production, Research & Development, Sales, Quality, Financial, Design, HR, Marketing

The ideal candidate for this position should be responsible to manage the purchasing and procurement processes and to implement the strategy in order to provide the raw materials and services according with the requirements of the company regarding quality, volume, availability and pricing.

We are looking a candidate that prove excelent skills in negotiations and relantionship with the suppliers, to develop new strategies for cost optimization and to improve the current processes.

Job Description

1. Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies;
2. Supervise and manage the entire purchasing process;
3. Supervise and develop the team of purchasing specialists;
4. Implement and manage inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste;
5. Cooperate with Sales Department and Planning Production Department in order to identify the needs and requirements regarding raw materials;
6. Cooperate with Maintenance Department in order to identify the purchasing needs and requirements regarding spare parts for the production machines;
7. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain the best conditions and prices;
8. Evaluate and select the suppliers, taking into account quality, cost and conformity of the raw materials;
9. Maintain strong relationship with the supplier and identify new opportunities;
10. Solve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or supplier agreements;

1. Minimum 5 years experience in a Purchasing or Procurement, preferred with an in-depth understanding of the flexible packaging market ;
2. Organized and detail-oriented;
3. Excellent time management skills;
4. Strong communications skills and strong negotiation skills;
5. Strong analytical and reporting skills;
6. Ability to manage people and different projects to establish clear goals and ensure successful delivery;
7. English (advanced level).
